There we will taste their Proseccos made with natural fermentation that are brut and extra dry. You will discover why they won a competition in 2015 among more than 100 other wineries!

We will enjoy lunch together at a traditional trattoria visited just by the locals, followed by a walk through Conegliano with an English-speaking guide.

We will return to the hotel at the end of the day and have dinner nearby at a delightful restaurant.

On Monday morning, we will stroll through Asolo, one of the most captivating towns of this medieval region. As you lose yourself in its streets, you'll discover interesting secrets of art, royal mansions, markets, delicatessen shops, and craftsmen's workshops. At the same time, you'll enjoy beautiful vistas of the Veneto flatlands and the Alps in the distance.

We will then visit the winery at an old Palladian villa protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here we will experience exquisite Italian art and architecture, as well as enjoy wine tasting and lunch at the osteria on the property. Later in the afternoon, we will tour Bassano del Grappa located along the Brenta river just below Monte Grappa. Wednesday morning we will visit an Italian "caseificio" (where cheese is produced), that has been ran by the same family for many generations. Here we will taste cow, sheep, buffalo and goat cheese along with other traditional dairy products. We will enjoy lunch here as we learn about their traditions of cheese making.

In the afternoon, we will visit a beautiful, family-owned winery and agricultural company run by a mother and her four daughters. This winery is one of the cornerstones of the traditional Prosecco DOCG production and is considered one of the most important in the region.

We will take a cooking class in the kitchen of this winery with a chef who will teach us how to cook delicious local dishes. We'll enjoy these dishes for dinner along with wonderful wines from the winery.

You can't go wrong with them, but this Prosecco tour was really special

This was my fifth tour with Raffa and Marcello, and all have been wonderful. The Prosecco region of 15 towns in the Veneto outside Venice is a special place. Rolling hills of vineyards and wineries are tranquil and beautiful. We sampled the products of many wineries including prize winners. The production is strictly controlled for quality and only those wines meeting the standard are given the DOC or DOCG. During our tour we ate delicious food including local cheeses and radicchio. I love Prosecco!

I was introduced to Prosecco by Marcello and Raffaella during my first tour – Food Lovers Adventure in Bologna – in 2002.  I love Prosecco.  This was the tour for me!   The most memorable tasting was at the Bortolomiol Winery.  We joined their chef and prepared our dinner.
